My son loves to make things. He loves duct tape (what's not to love).
Last night he made a backpack out of construction paper by covering two sheets with duct tape and making a duct tape strap. I don't know why exactly but today he wore it to school. We'll see how it works.

3:00 am is an interesting hour. It's probably the quietest hour of the day. Even when I lived in Vegas 3:00 was quiet.
2:00 am the after parties were winding down. 4:00 am and the uber early birds were waking up. 3:00 is the most quiet. Every noise, every car is noticed. Especially when you can't sleep. You may be asking what this picture has to do with insomnia or 3:00 am, nothing. Just an interesting picture.

A great post by Andrew Hyde. I remember when I first started at HP and they told me how much my quarterly budget was and then asked me if that was enough. My first thought was that I could start a company with that much money. The I learned that everything costs more inside a big company.
Personally I still think we should have let the banks and big co's crash. It would have hurt more but we also would have come back twice as strong. From Andrew's post:
"The people I’m around in the startup world could make a damn good run to change the world on $100,000. The banks couldn’t give a mid level manager a bonus that low."
