How Gen Y will turn to blogging
Fred Wilson, while making a post about music (note to self: I now have a purpose for my Tumblr blog) makes a rather pointed statement about Gen Y and the future of blogging:
"I've noticed as my girls have turned into young adults that they have started blogs under their own names/domains. They still use Facebook like they always have, but there is something about wanting your own place on the web that you control that is fundamental to who we are."
I know my own brother has been frustrated with wordpress.com and wants his own domain that he controls.
